DS-186 In-Circuit Emulator

CEIBO DS-186 is a real-time In-Circuit Emulator dedicated to the Intel 80C86/88 and 80C186/188 family of microprocessors. The emulator provides a versatile and efficient tool for debugging and developing systems designed with the Intel Architecture. DS-186 uses standard Intel microprocessors for emulation and employs and emulation technology which allows all resources of the Intel microprocessors and numeric coprocessors to be used. The selection of different Intel microprocessors is made by replacing the microprocessor in the adapter for pin-to pin compatible devices or using different adapters. The baud rate is programmable from 9600 baud to 115K baud. The software includes a state of the art source level debugger from Paradigm which uses the award winning Turbo debugger. DS-186 provides 1 Mbyte of zero wait state mapped memory. The system has the ability to set 1M hardware breakpoints. The program is executed until a specified breakpoint condition is reached. Breakpoints are qualified by instruction fetch, instruction execution, data contents, read/write from/to memory and I/O. The trace buffer records 8K frames. The trace display shows the source, assembler and bus cycles. DS-186 accepts Intel OMP-86 and .EXE file formats, and supports assembler and high level language files. These files are converted by DS-186 utilities to absolute executable format. By the use of these powerful features, DS-186 allows development of Intel devices in a fraction of the time, and cost.
